Maintaining Healthy LawnsProblems and lawns sometimes go hand-in-hand. The more you care about your lawn, the more you notice its health and notice things that effect your lawn's health. A healthy lawn doesn't just happen. Thick vigorous turf requires supplemental feedings. Regular maintenance and monitoring weeds. Each growing season brings new challenges, especially here in eastern Pennsylvania. Prevention is the one best tonic for any lawn. Keeping it well fed and manicured goes a long way in reducing weed invasions, disease problems and better able to survive insect infestations. Regular feedings during the growing season and an annual aeration treatment will put you way ahead in heaving a beautiful, healthy lawn. Common Lawn ProblemsWeeds--Weeds are really a type of
plant that shouldn't be growing in one particular place.
Some weeds can be spot treated after they appear, while others can be
treated before they even take hold. Insects--some insects can do some
substantial damage to the lawn. Knowing which is bug is harmful or dangerous,
and which is actually good for the lawn requires a trained eye. Lawn Diseases--much like human diseases,
lawn diseases can be difficult to properly diagnose and even harder to
treat correctly. Identification is critical to making an accurate diagnosis.
Some lawn diseases will just go away and others may destroy large sections
of your valuable landsacape. Soil Problems--a healthy, vigorous
lawn requires some basic ingredients in the soil. Lawn problems can often
be traced backed to poor soil conditions that can be corrected over time.
